Short Introduction

Arjuman Ara is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics, City University, Dhaka, Bangladesh where she has been teaching since 2011. Arjuman Ara was born in Joypurhat, Bangladesh on 1st January 1985. She received her B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Rajshahi University in 2008 and 2009 respectively. PhD in Mathematics (Ongoing), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Her tentative title of the research work is" Image Compression by Principal Component Analysis and Singular Value Decomposition."

Teaching experience

1.  Assistant  Professor,  General  Education  Department,  City  University,  from  January  2021  to  present
2.  Assistant  Professor,  Department  of  Electrical  and  Electronic  Engineering,  City  University,  from  December  2016  to  December  2020.
3.  Assistant  Professor,  Department  of  Textile  Engineering,  City  University,  from  July  2015  to  December  2016
4.  Lecturer  in  Mathematics,  Department  of  Textile  Engineering,  City  University,  from  October  2011  to  July  2015.

i)  Image  Compression  by  Principal  Component  Analysis  and  Singular  Value  Decomposition.
ii)  Lattice  theory.
